Cheek Bone
Cheek Bone Augmentation
Cheek Bone Augmentation is for those with low and narrow Cheek Bones, broadening them so that the center of the face looks more balanced, and feminine. The surgeon will make an incision inside the mouth or underneath the lower eyelashes, and place the silicone on top of the original Cheek Bones. The wound will then be stitched closed. The removal of stitches is not required, given that a dissolvable is utilized.
Surgery duration is approximately 1-2 hours under general anesthetics. Patient may rest 1-2 nights at the hospital after the surgery with a one-week recovery period.
Post Operative Care
1. Sleep and rest with head slightly elevated to reduce swelling; an ice pack over the wound will further reduce the swelling.
2. Eat soft food only for the first few days.
3. In the case where the incision was made inside the mouth, regularly use antiseptic mouthwash during the first week to keep the wound clean. Otherwise, clean the wound underneath the eyes twice each day.
4. Follow-up appointment with surgeon one month after the surgery.
