Face Lift

This is a surgery which helps resolve problems with regard to sagging cheeks, chin, and neck area in patients aged around 50-60, but may also be found in those younger. In some cases, there is fat accumulated in the cheek area and under the chin which will also require liposuction. The result of the surgery will make your face look younger and more radiant. The Face Lift surgery will be undertaken by a team of surgeons using the most efficient and careful technique because there are many important nerves located in the facial area. If caution is not exercised during surgery, then there is the risk of these nerves being destroyed.

Face Lift surgery takes about 3-4 hours, and requires the administration of general anesthesia. The surgery wound will be located above the upper hairline, and behind the ears, which cannot be detected. Four days after the surgery, the suture must first be removed in the area behind the ears, and 6 days later in the upper hairline area.



Post Operative Care

1. Sleep and rest with head slightly elevated to reduce swelling for a week.
2. Avoid any type of exercise activities which could disrupt the wound for about 2 weeks and the wound must be kept dry during the first 2-3 days
3. It is possible to gently wash the hair 2-3 days after the surgery
